Gray and Navy Transitional Kitchen and Living Room

I get so excited when I get the opportunity to design multiple spaces in a clients home at the same time. Recently, I created a Two Room Online Design Plan for a client wanting a new look for her open concept Kitchen and Living Room. We gave her Kitchen a completely new, ultra stylish, custom look with paint and a few custom carpentry projects. In the Living Room, she had a great start with a beautiful sectional sofa, fantastic artwork and drapery. We gave her a new look while incorporating all of these existing elements. Both of the spaces flow together seamlessly.

Here is a look at her Two Room Design Plan..

Gray and Plum Modern Farmhouse Living Room

I currently have openings for new projects. Please click here for more information.

While I'm away from the Studio this week, I wanted to share some recent projects that I'm particularly inspired about. Today, I'd like to share a Living Room  E-Design I just created for an Online Design Client. The space itself already had a ton of charm and character. My favorite features of this home included large, rustic, wood beams, gorgeous hardwood floors and charming sloped ceilings. The design I created for the Living Room complements these features and creates a sophisticated, modern-farmhouse flavored space in a neutral greige palette accented by my clients favorite color, plum.

Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back in the studio next week working on more new and exciting projects that will be coming to the blog soon!

Design Plan: Creating The Illusion of a Natural Light Filled Space

The other day, I made the exciting announcement that The Yellow Cape Cod Design Studio has openings for new online design projects! After being fully booked for nearly two months, we now have spots available for new clients! If you are interested in making a reservation, now is the time. Please click here for more information.

Today, I'd like to share a space we recently designed through our E-Design Service for our client, Mary. Mary came to us for a Transitional Style Design Plan with a Cottage Style twist for her Living Room. Her home has a great open concept, the Living Room is open to a gorgeous Kitchen with beautiful, dark, rich cabinetry. Outside of one window and a patio door, neither the Living Room nor the Kitchen have a large natural light source. Therefore, one of our goals was to make the area look bright and create the illusion of a light filled space with carefully chosen design elements.

Take a look at the custom design plan we created for Mary...

One of the most exciting aspects of this design project was that the items we selected for Mary are all from budget friendly retailers...
