Quick Elegantly Spooky Halloween Porch

This year, I put together a very simple, but festive Halloween front porch display using some adorable items I found on Amazon. I wanted my porch to look welcoming and reflect the Halloween season, while still offering style and elegance. Now, Halloween and elegance usually are not found in the same sentence, but I think I made it happen. I also decided to invest in items I can use year after year instead of going crazy buying too many real pumpkins (don't worry, I still bought a bunch, just not as many as in the past).

I started with this super chic, gray and black, round, leopard print, outdoor rug that is tough enough to keep out on the porch all season regardless of the weather.

For a little spookiness, I added these adorable black crows to the top of the door. They come with wires attached to their feet that I used to position them and then fasten them using a staple gun.

To finish off the look, I selected a bright orange 22" berry wreath. There are many berry wreaths available on Amazon, I selected one of the higher-end options. I want to get many years out of this display. This wreath was not a disappointing purchase, it is gorgeous and comes in a nice sturdy box to store it in when not in use. What I really love about it is that the twigs are easily positionable making it simple to shape the wreath upon hanging.

I'm really happy with the way the porch turned out. I think it's a win for both me and the kids and the best part of this decor project was the ease and speed of ordering through Amazon.

Black and Oatmeal Equestrian Style Foyer and Home Office

I currently have openings for new Online Design Projects. Click here for info.
Today, I'd like to share a foyer I designed as part of a two-room #EDesign Project. I had the opportunity to design this client's Den and adjacent Foyer. My clients home is a jaw dropper...she came to me looking for a design plan to refresh her already beautiful spaces. My goal was to give her a sophisticated, updated, equestrian-inspired look for both rooms, giving them each a unique look while allowing them to flow seamlessly.

Here is a peek at both of the design boards together...

Here is a closer look at the Foyer Design Plan I created for her...

Cozy Navy Red and Oatmeal Family Room

I currently have openings for new Online Design Projects. Click here for info.
Yesterday was a very productive day in the design studio. One of the projects I worked on was a cozy family room for an EDesign Client. She had gorgeous leather furniture, a beautiful stone fireplace, and warm, rich, wood builtins and trim. She asked me to create a design plan to bring color and personality to finish off the space. I was able to do so on a realistic budget with some great online finds, like the stunning rug (linked below)!

Check it out...

This design began with this gorgeous rug. It set the tone for the room and established our color palette. This rug can be purchased at Amazon.  Here is an affiliate link...

Fall Porch EDesign Plan

Happy Sunday Friends! I had a really fun day today in the Design Studio and wanted to pop on and tell you about the project I'm working on. A long-time client came to me and asked me to create a Fall Decor EDesign Plan for some of the spaces I designed in her home. She wanted me to help her give her newly renovated house a warm, cozy, welcoming, fall vibe.

My favorite place to begin fall decor is hands-down the front porch. So, naturally, I really enjoyed decorating hers! Here is what the porch looks like now...

Here is the vision I have and the design plan I created to help her turn this beautiful front porch into the ultimate Fall entrance to welcome her friends and family this harvest season...

A Lower Level Family Game Room, Kitchenette and Bathroom

I'm so excited to reopen my EDesign services after being booked for the summer just in time for the Fall rush! Yesterday, I hopped on here really quick and shared a design I created for a clients lower level family lounging area. Today, I'd like to share the gaming area, bathroom and kitchenette that I designed to go along with this new full basement design plan.

You can see in the floor plan illustration how the game area is at the opposite end of the TV lounging area so it was important for these spaces to flow. The bathroom is just outside this room as is the kitchenette. This entire level is shaping up to be an incredible space for this family to enjoy for years to come.

Take a look...

And, here are all of these spaces side-by-side...

Stay tuned for the final room I designed in this multi-room EDesign project...coming soon.
