Vintage Bungalow Charmer- Living and Dining Room

We currently have openings for new E-Design Projects, please click here for more info.

Recently, I received a wonderful review from a client that completely made my day. She is in the process of implementing an E-Design plan I created for her Living and Dining Rooms. In her review she expressed how happy she was with her design and how well the rooms are coming together. What really made me happy was hearing how pleased she was with the process. It is one of my main goals in every project to make the implementation as simple as possible for my clients.

I have to admit, I REALLY enjoyed this project. Her gorgeous vintage bungalow already had a ton of charm and character when she came to me for a design plan. We created a look that embraced the traditional style of her home, yet gave the rooms a fresh, new, look.

Here is peek at the design plans I created for her...

Burgundy and Black Farmhouse Living Room

I have a few openings left for new E-design projects this month! Click here for info.

Last week, I had the honor of creating a design plan for one of the most beautiful homes ever. When this E-Design Client reached out to me to help her create an updated look for her living room, I asked her to submit pictures of the space. She also sent me a few photos of the exterior of her home so I could get a feel for the style of the entire house. When the photos came through, my jaw hit the floor. The house is a Victorian Farmhouse replica that her husband built and they raised their family in. The house is dripping with detail. Custom woodworking and archways, gingerbread siding, porches, leaded glass windows, moldings, custom fireplace mantles, you name it.

The design I created for them captures farmhouse flavor, but gives their living room an updated look. Although the palette is mainly neutral, I brought in a beautiful burgundy accent color and punctuated the design with a few rustic black elements for drama. It's a warm, welcoming, timeless design that is also fresh and relevant.

Semi-Custom Wine Cellar

Today, I'm really excited to share a unique space that I recently designed for a clients' finished lower level. Her entire basement is absolutely stunning. It includes a full kitchen, living room, game room, covered outdoor area and an incredible secret man cave.

There is only one small space that has not been finished yet, a tiny room just off of the kitchen. My client came to me and asked me to give her some ideas on turning this small space into a wine cellar. My first bit of advice was to go custom, and have a Carpenter install custom cabinetry from floor to ceiling to maximize the space. But, just in case a full custom build wasn't what she was looking for, I also came up with a semi-custom design plan that would allow her to create an amazing wine cellar using mostly ready made furniture.

Here it is...

I had a lot of fun working on this project!
Thanks for letting me share this unique space with you!
