Shelter Makeovers and a Big Announcement

I'm so excited to announce I've accepted a position as a National Chapter Leader for Enchanted Makeovers {EM}.  In addition to my decorating business, I will also be the EM National Chapter Leader for the state of Michigan.  To give you a little background on EM, here is the mission statement:

"Enchanted Makeovers' mission is to transform homeless shelters into places that are inspiring and supportive to those re-building their lives.  Hand-made items are a big part of this mission because we believe each gift carries with it the love and positive energy of the crafter, artist or sewer".

In my role as Chapter Leader, I am responsible for answering your questions, inspiring communities to sew, collecting and delivering hand-made pillowcases, capes and dolls for shelters for women, mothers, teens and children.

Just before I left my banking career to pursue my decorating business,  I was introduced to Enchanted Makeovers by a client.  He is {an amazing} Detroit area muralist and he mentioned his work with the organization.  Since that day, I've been completely captivated with EM.   Terry Grahl, the Founder and Visionary behind Enchanted Makeovers, is passionate about helping women and children in shelters rebuild their lives.  I'm incredibly humbled to be asked by Terry to be the National Leader for the state of Michigan.

If you have sewing skills {or even if you don't},  I'd love for you to join me in this mission.
Please check out the Enchanted Makeover page in my sidebar {or click here} for information on how anyone can help.  I will be posting about Enchanted Makeovers periodically on the blog and on my facebook page.

EM is preparing for a Detroit shelter makeover as we speak.  I look forward to sharing this amazing journey with you.
