Here is Part II of my last post...the Family Rooms turn.
Who else agrees that cotton white slipcovers were the best invention ever? I think they look & fit better with every wash.
Mine get washed a lot.
I didn't add anything new. Just a quick re-arrangement of an old collection made it feel like something was new.
This zebra chair was actually a thrift store rescue. Click here to see what it looked like before along with a quick tutorial.
Now, if only I could make it bigger...

Wow, your family room is gorgeous. I love the shelf and your number cushions and while red isn't my colour it's just the perfect accent in your room. I'm about to reveal my master bedroom and hope it can look as beautiful as this - with a bed instead of sofas though!

I have been following your blog for almost a year now but for some reason never left a comment. I first came across your blog thru your Rate My Space page. You were my intro. to blogs and I have drawn a lot of inspiration from your posts. Can't imagine the amount of work it takes to come of with fresh posts time and again. I haven't been brave enough to start my own blog yet. Maybe someday. Just wanted to say that I love your spaces and I appreciate the posts you put out and the time it takes to put them together. Thanks for all the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteKristine, Thank you, cant wait to see your master bedroom.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, I got the slipcovers from a Sure Fit Outlet Ebay shop. They were a major steal!
Decomom, thanks for commenting! I love comments! You made my day. Blogging has been so much fun and I have drawn a lot of inspiration from the blogs I follow too. You should definitely try it!
LOVE this room! Would you mind sharing the paint color on the walls? Also, did you make the damask pillows?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog! Your style is simply beauitful-- yet so cozy. Your a huge inspriation. I have an entrance similar to yours-- did you paint the back of your door and the door to the right black? This is such a good idea! Did you paint all the other doors in the house the same? Thanks for putting a smile on my face each time you update!
ReplyDeleteIf you could share where you picked up your damask fabric that would be great, thanks :0). Also is your slipcover a true white or a natural color?
ReplyDeleteHi! So I just found your blog because I was searching other blogs that were about Cape Cod homes... and I found you (I just started a blog: thecozycape.blogspot.com)! So, I have a question about these slipcovers. I recently bought 2 white slipcovered chairs. Do you iron yours each time you wash yours?? Mine keep looking too wrinkled!
ReplyDeleteI know this an old blog post, but if you read this comment, I would loooove to know where you got the "seek happiness" print above your fireplace. It is just so gorgeous and all of my favorite colors.
ReplyDeleteCould you please share the wall paint color? It looks like a great neutral!
ReplyDeleteDana,
ReplyDeleteThe color is Martha Stewart Coir. Thanks for visiting! Sarah
All I can say is WOW. Can I come take a nap on your couch? :). I would love to know where you found (or how you made) your armoire that you put the TV in......I want to hide ours away too.....TVs are so ugly. Thanks for the help!
ReplyDeleteJulie, come on over! Thank you for your sweet comments. The TV Armoire is from Ethan Allens New Country Collection. Regards, Sarah
ReplyDeleteWow...this room looks inviting and comfortable. Could you please tell me where you purchased your buffet table? Thank you for sharing!

ReplyDeleteLove this. I also love this blog. I never followed blogs before, but a few clicks from pinterest, and I am now hooked. lol I was curious....did you make the damask pillows yourself, or did you purchase them somewhere? I am in love with Damask. I already have a good amount in my kitchen, but I am looking for more to incorporate into the rest of the rooms.
