Dramatic Master Bedroom Makeover~Before and After

Recently, I had the opportunity to create a design plan for the master bedroom of a gorgeous executive traditional style home.  Kristen, the homeowner,  is not only one of the cutest, nicest people I have ever met, but also fun to work with.  In fact, we had so much fun together that you will be seeing a few more "before and after" spaces of this home very soon.

Here is how her master bedroom makeover unfolded.

Let's take a look at the before pics...
(taken with my crummy cell phone camera )

And after...

You may remember the design plan for this space.
Below is the inspiration board I created after our initial meeting:

Here are the details on how Kristen and her husband, Scott,

brought the design to life...

 Stunning new furniture,

 fabulous accessories,

new bedding with lots of fun texture,

a beautiful eggplant tufted armchair,

new sconces,

dramatic drapes layered over bamboo roman shades,

 oversized bedside lamps,

a contemporary floral area rug,

and lastly, a functional {as well as handsome} wall mounted flatscreen tv.

The product source list for this makeover includes, Restoration Hardware, Arhaus Furniture, Crate and Barrel, ZGallerie, West Elm, HomeGoods, Target and Lowes.

These homeowners did a fabulous job.   I had the fun part, creating the design, they had the hard part,  making it reality.  Their execution was flawless.

Thank you, Kristen and Scott for inviting me into your home and allowing me to share your beautiful new space.   It has been such a pleasure working with you and I can't wait to show off more of your gorgeous home.

  9. Sara this was one of my favorite design boards you've done, so I love being able to see it implimented! I've been debating doing my office/craft room in black and white with purple accents for some time but haven't decided on a wall color. LOVE this gray, can you please share the brand/color? All of your choices are gorgeous and the homeowners did a beautiful job - thanks for sharing!

  11. I was looking to use those sconces in a powder room. Do they give off enough light. Would use them flanking a mirror. Would not be the only source of light.
