Last week, I delivered a design plan I created for a clients gorgeous Home Office. The space is probably more accurately described as a Den, as it's used for more that just working from home. The cozy room is a favorite place for the family to lounge and watch TV. The space itself is beautiful, boasting dark, rich, woodworking on both the walls and the ceiling. It also features a fantastic wood burning fireplace flanked by custom bookcases and a stunning desk built in to a large bay window.
My job was to create a fresh design plan that updates their existing furniture, provides additional storage for office supplies and files, makes the space more family/pet friendly and lightens up the room. My client has a style preference that I call "Equestrian Chic". It's a traditional look that is warm, cozy, timeless and sophisticated.
