A Great Room for a Great Family

Today's online design plan is one of my all time favorites.  The reason...it was designed for an inspiring young family.   Danny and Karen home school their 4 beautiful girls in their new home.  They also use their home to nurture and entertain their family and youth ministry of 40-60 kids.  They contacted me to help them bring their personality into their Great Room. This family is absolutely beautiful inside and out.  

It's hard not to be jealous, look how cute they are...

The song choice was inspired by their dedication to serving others.

The design was intended to be a reflection of their young, vibrant, loving personalities.  I also wanted the space to be uplifting, inspiring and inviting to the kids that visit their home.  A place that friends and family would never want to leave.

I used a fresh, cheerful color palette of yellow and gray as requested by the client.

Robert Allen's line of fabrics for Dwell Studio provided lots of fun color and patterns to a newly re-upholstered sectional in charcoal gray.

The drapes, also from Robert Allen, are the perfect frame for the panoramic view of their resort like backyard patio and swimming pool.

This design plan was very budget friendly.  One splurge I included was a set of mirrors that could easily be replaced by a similar version from a discount home store to keep the total of this room design at $1500.  This is a perfect example of how great style is easily attainable and doesn't have to break the bank.
