Real Fruit and Flowers

My cousins hosted a wedding shower for my sister last year.  Her wedding colors were lime green and black.  That was also the theme for the shower.  They used real fruit and fresh flowers for the centerpieces.   I was going through the photos when I was suddenly inspired...

(Here are a few pics from that day)

The vibrant green apples and soft white roses were saying "Christmas Theme 2010".  I know it's kind of early to blog about Christmas.  I just didn't want to lose my inspiration.

I did a little research and found these gorgeous photos:

I Can't wait to get started!  Does anyone else use fresh fruit & flowers in their Holiday Decor?  If so, leave a comment with a link, I would love to see and share what you have done!

  3. I don't do this, but many years ago I lived near someone who made garland out of fresh greens and fresh fruit. Every year I looked forward to December because they always kept this over the front door. They had this small white cottage with a rounded top door and black shutters with this fruit on it. The whole arrangmement looked just like something out of a magazine.

  5. Every year I add more and more organics to my decorating. The house always smells so fresh, has great 'wow' factor, and when the holidays are over everything goes into the compost bin and not into storage. An example of greens on my holiday table can be found here: http://pattietierney.blogspot.com/2010/12/boxing-day-dinner.html

I'll be using your trifle bowl with the citrus, greens, and cranberries this year. This will look great on the entry table. Love your blog!
